Lin-Hua Wu

Biography

Lin-Hua Wu was appointed senior vice president and chief communications officer at General Motors in August 2023. Wu is responsible for the overall company communications strategy in support of GM’s transformation to an all-electric future.

Prior to joining GM, Wu served as vice president of global communications and public affairs at Google, where she supported Search, Advertising, Maps, Assistant, Bard, News, Commerce, Payments and the Global Business Organization. Previously, she was the chief communications officer of Dropbox, overseeing global communications, brand marketing and analyst relations. Before joining Dropbox, she was head of corporate communications at Square, and a partner at Brunswick Group and Kekst and Company.

She began her career as an associate at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich and Rosati in Palo Alto, California. Wu graduated with a bachelor’s degree in international relations from Stanford University and a law degree from Stanford Law School. She is a board member of the Stellar Development Foundation and on the Board of Visitors of Stanford Law School.  Wu lives with her husband, four children and a small petting zoo in San Francisco’s foggy Richmond District.
