This session will highlight the latest trends on key issues facing compensation committees as their role continues to expand into issues of talent management. How should committee members navigate their increasing responsibilities without overstepping management? What are the current practices on tying pay to performance and explaining the company’s compensation philosophy in the CD&A? How are companies handling performance metrics in response to the shifting landscape of DEI and other environmental, social, and governance (ESG) objectives? What are best practices for the committee’s process, including coordination with the CHRO and retention of outside compensation consultants? The panelists will provide tools and insights to help compensation committees successfully recruit and retain executives while navigating regulatory requirements, proxy advisory firm recommendations, investor demands, and public sentiment around executive pay.
