31st Annual Stanford Directors' College 2026
Experience Directors’ College, Reimagined.
Stanford Directors’ College is the nation’s premier executive education program for directors and C-level executives of publicly traded firms and prominent private companies. The program addresses the key responsibilities and challenges facing modern boards, including the board’s role in setting business strategy, CEO succession and evaluation, managing legal and reputational risk, responding to activist investors, navigating boardroom dynamics and culture, and engaging with pressing issues such as artificial intelligence and the politicization of the corporation.
Directors’ College brings together leading CEOs, directors, regulators, jurists, and scholars for a rigorous, balanced examination of corporate governance, strategy, and the evolving role of the modern corporate board. Now in its thirty-first year, the program will feature:
- Keynotes from leading voices including Vlad Tenev, CEO and Co-Founder of Robinhood, and Jason Kwon, Chief Strategy Officer of OpenAI;
- Sessions led by Stanford faculty from across campus, including computer science and business;
- Expanded networking opportunities such as golf at Stanford Golf Course and a private museum tour;
- A fully updated Directors’ College 101 add-on for new directors; and
- An increased emphasis on case studies, simulations, and interactive sessions to deepen practical learning and peer exchange.
Also new for 2026!
Stanford Directors’ College alumni and 2026 registrants are invited to join:
- A four-part virtual program – AI Priorities for Boards of Directors – at no additional cost. Participants will gain a board-ready framework for AI oversight and practical tools applicable to board and committee decision-making.
- The new Stanford Directors’ Network (SDN) platform. Founded by Stanford Women on Boards and open to all Stanford-affiliated directors, SDN is a community platform for board opportunities, thought leadership, and exclusive director programming.
