Biography
Adina Storch is Chair of the Board of Medical Facilities Corporation, a publicly traded Canadian healthcare company that owns and operates hospitals in the United States, where she previously chaired the Audit, Corporate Governance, Nominating, and Compensation Committees. She is also Senior Vice President, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary of Global Industrial Company, an NYSE-listed international distributor of industrial products. Previously, she served as Executive Vice President, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary of Cedar Realty Trust, an NYSE-listed REIT.
A seasoned executive and corporate director with more than 27 years of international and domestic experience, Ms. Storch began her career in private practice as both a litigation partner and capital markets lawyer at major law firms in New York and Paris.
Ms. Storch has been widely recognized for her leadership in the legal and corporate governance communities. She twice received the peer-nominated First Chair Top General Counsel Award for “significant contributions to the legal community” and was honored with the Women, Influence & Power in Law Award from Corporate Counsel for her “innovative leadership style.” She has been profiled in Modern Counsel and Vanguard Law Magazine and featured in Corporate Board Member’s director spotlight series. She is also a frequent speaker and commentator on corporate governance, litigation, risk management, crisis leadership, executive compensation, and negotiation strategy.
In addition to her corporate board service, Ms. Storch serves on the national legal advisory board for the wholesale distribution industry and on several academic advisory boards, including at Yale University. She is Vice Chair of the Nominating Committee of the Yale Alumni Fund Board and Vice President of the Yale Law School Executive Committee. She also serves on the board of a multi-state nonprofit supporting employment opportunities for neurodiverse individuals.
Ms. Storch is recognized for her leadership in corporate social responsibility, having built philanthropic stewardship programs at two public companies. Beyond her professional work, she supports initiatives focused on literacy, employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities, and veterans’ causes.
Ms. Storch earned her J.D. from Yale Law School, where she was a Senior Editor of the Yale Law Journal and submissions editor of the Yale Law & Policy Review. She also holds a B.A., summa cum laude with distinction in English, from Yale College, where she served as President of Phi Beta Kappa for her class.
