Amy Weaver

Biography

Amy Weaver is Chief Executive Officer of Direct Relief, a leading humanitarian organization delivering medical aid to improve the health and lives of people affected by poverty, disaster, and conflict. Since becoming CEO in 2025, she has focused on expanding Direct Relief’s global reach, strengthening health system resilience, and advancing large-scale humanitarian response efforts worldwide.

Before joining Direct Relief, Weaver served as President and Chief Financial Officer at Salesforce, where she helped guide the company through a period of extraordinary growth as its market capitalization surpassed $300 billion. During her nearly 12 years at Salesforce, she oversaw global finance and operations and led multiple functions including corporate communications, ethics and compliance, corporate development, real estate, and accessibility. Weaver also made the rare transition from Chief Legal Officer to Chief Financial Officer — the first such move in a Fortune 500 company.

Earlier in her career, Weaver served as a law clerk for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and as a legislative aide in the Hong Kong Legislative Council through the Luce Scholars Program. She later practiced law at Cravath, Swaine & Moore in Hong Kong and at Perkins Coie in the United States before holding senior legal and executive roles at Expedia Group and Univar Solutions.

A frequent speaker on leadership, business, and global issues, Weaver has addressed audiences at the World Economic Forum in Davos, delivered the commencement address at Lehigh University, and co-chaired the Women Leaders Global Forum in Reykjavik, Iceland.

Founded in 1948 and headquartered in Santa Barbara, California, Direct Relief is one of the world’s largest humanitarian aid organizations and has been recognized by Forbes as one of the Top Five Largest U.S. Charities. The organization has also received the 2025 Seoul Peace Prize, was named TIME’s 2025 Dreamer of the Year, and has earned 15 consecutive four-star ratings from Charity Navigator.

Weaver serves on the board of McDonald’s Corporation and previously served on the boards of Habitat for Humanity International and Lehigh University. She is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and has been recognized by Forbes, the Financial Times, and the San Francisco Business Times for her leadership across business, finance, and law.
