Biography
Anthony Soules is currently Vice President, Information Security and Chief Information Security Officer within Technology at Amgen. His responsibilities include oversight of Global Cybersecurity Operations, Governance, Risk and Compliance, Strategic Services, Digital Identity & Access Services and Trusted Core Technology.
Previously, Anthony served as Executive Director and Deputy Chief Information Security Officer responsible for Global Cybersecurity Operations, Security Awareness and Education, Security Metrics and Analytics, Digital Forensics and Incident Response, Attack Surface Reduction, and Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery.
Prior to joining Amgen at the end of 2016, Anthony served in both leadership and operational positions at the National Security Agency (NSA). In this capacity, he led and conducted computer network exploitation operations for intelligence collection purposes. Anthony was a recipient of the National Intelligence Meritorious Unit Citation award for his contributions to foreign national intelligence collection efforts.
Prior to his time at the NSA, Anthony was a cybersecurity consultant delivering a wide range of cybersecurity services. to various US government departments and agencies. Anthony led penetration tests, security architecture and design efforts, conducted systems analysis for certification and accreditation, and led global strategy and policy development for both garrison and forward deployed environments.
Anthony is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC). He holds a BS in Computer Information Systems from Longwood University and an MS in Information and Telecommunication Systems from Johns Hopkins University.
