Biography
Barbara Berlin is a Managing Director in PwC’s Governance Insights Center, which strives to strengthen the connection between directors, executive teams and investors by helping them navigate the evolving governance landscape.
With more than 20 years of experience at PwC, Barbara brings extensive knowledge in governance matters including board composition, cybersecurity, generative AI and crisis oversight to organizations. She is a well-known speaker on governance topics. Barbara has been listed multiple times in NACD’s Directorship 100 Honorees List which recognizes leading corporate directors and governance experts and influencers.
Barbara has authored and contributed to many PwC governance publications, including: The road to strategic board succession, How your board can better oversee cyber risk, AI and Generative AI: What the board should know, The board’s role in digital transformation oversight and How your board can be ready for crisis. She has earned the CERT Certificate in Cybersecurity Oversight, issued by the CERT Division of the Software Engineering Institute at Carnegie Mellon University.
Barbara is a Certified Public Accountant (licensed in New York and New Jersey) and is a graduate of the State University of New York at Geneseo with a B.S. in Accounting. She lives in New York with her husband and three children.
