Debra A. Sandler

Biography

Ms Sandler is a seasoned corporate executive who serves on several boards while also managing her own consultancy. At ADM Debra serves as chair of the nominating and corporate governance committee and a member of the audit committee; at Keurig Dr Pepper Inc. she serves as a member of the nominating committee; at Dollar General Corporation she serves as chair of the nominating and governance committee and as a member of the audit committee; at USA Today she serves as a member of the compensation and transformation committees. She was also previously a member of the board of advisors of Pharmavite, LLC. Debra is also a long standing trustee of Hofstra University. 

Debra also serves as a Partner at Trewstar Corporate Board Services, a boutique search firm specializing in the placement of outstanding candidates on boards. 

Previously Ms Sandler worked for over 30 years in senior leadership roles at PepsiCo, Johnson & Johnson and Mars. She is the former chief health and wellbeing officer at Mars, after serving there as president of Mars Chocolate North America. She is best known for her work as the worldwide president of McNeil Nutritionals (a division of J&J) where she led the global launch of Splenda no calorie sweetener. Most recently she was the founder of Mavis Foods, LLC, an entrepreneurial startup of Caribbean sauces and marinades. 

Debra holds a bachelor’s degree in International Trade from Hofstra University and an MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business. She is a member of the Latino Corporate Directors Association (LCDA) and a legacy member of the Executive Leadership Council (ELC).
