Biography
Vlad Tenev is Chairman, CEO, and President of Robinhood Markets, a global leader in financial services offering retail brokerage, crypto, advisory, digital banking, and private markets access to a new generation of investors. In 2013, he co-founded Robinhood to democratize finance for all. Vlad is separately Executive Chairman and Co-Founder of Harmonic, an AI company dedicated to building the world’s most advanced reasoning engine.
Vlad has been featured on the covers of Forbes and Fortune, and in Men’s Health for his dedication to physical fitness. He has been recognized on Fortune’s 100 Most Powerful People in Business (2025) and inducted into the Forbes 30 Under 30 Hall of Fame (2022) following his initial inclusion in 2016.
Vlad holds a B.S. in Mathematics from Stanford University, an M.S. in Mathematics from UCLA, and FINRA Series 3, 7, and 63 licenses. He lives in the Bay Area of California with his wife and three children.
