As the next generation of legal students enter the classroom, pedagogy as a matter of necessity must evolve to meet the learning needs of these students. We will discuss the challenges of teaching to Gen Z, such as fragile mental health in a post-pandemic world, the emergence of militant apathy as a student strategy to a law school education, more entrenched student viewpoints whether conservative or progressive, and resistance to strict Socratic method or any teaching method which requires the student to be ready for classroom questioning on a cold call basis.
