2020 Intellectual Property Scholars Conference

WHEN Jul 15 - Aug 21, 2020 (Wed and Fri)
WHERE Virtual Panels

Given the evolving situation with COVID-19, and in the interest of our community’s safety, we have decided not to hold the 20th Annual Intellectual Property Scholars Conference in person this year. In lieu of the live conference, we will be moving IPSC 2020 online for a set of virtual panels to be hosted throughout July and August.

Panels will be held on Wednesdays and Fridays starting July 15 through August 21. Sessions will feature 5-6 speakers with 12 minutes for presentation and 15 minutes for Q&A each. If you want to block time on your calendars, please hold 10:00 am - 1:00 pm pacific time on Wednesdays and Fridays from July 15-August 21, inclusive.

Prior to the panels, we will be providing registration links so that those full-time academics and fellows who wish to attend can receive a protected Zoom link to the meeting and password access to the papers. You must register to attend a panel. We reserve the right to limit the size of panels if need be. We will send more details on panel logistics to those who have registered.

IPSC 2020 will accept presentation requests on all IP-related topics, including but not limited to Copyright, Trademark and Unfair Competition Law, Patent, Trade Secret, Cyberlaw, and Innovation Law Beyond IP.

The IP Scholars Conference brings together intellectual property scholars to present their works-in-progress in order to benefit from the critique of colleagues. The conference is co-sponsored by the Berkeley Center for Law and Technology, UC Berkeley School of Law; the Intellectual Property Law Program, Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law at Yeshiva University; the Center for Intellectual Property Law and Information Technology, DePaul University College of Law; and the Stanford Program in Law, Science & Technology, Stanford Law School.
