We look forward to welcoming you to Stanford Law School. During your time here, your health and safety are our top priorities. Below are our current on-campus COVID-19 policies for Summer 2022 programs. This page will be updated if policies change due to further guidance from the state, county, and/or university officials on upcoming events.
Participants must verify that they do not have COVID-19 at the start of the program. In order to do this, participants must test within 24 hours prior to arriving on campus. In hopes to make this easier for attendees, here are three options (in order of convenience) in which we can accept the verified test results.

Participants must verify that they do not have COVID-19 at the start of the program. In order to do this, participants must test within 24 hours prior to arriving on campus. In hopes to make this easier for attendees, here are three options (in order of convenience) in which we can accept the verified test results.
Option #1: We are working with CityHealth to provide a safe, verifiable, and convenient option for attendees to take a rapid antigen test with a virtual observer anytime within 24 hours before arriving at Stanford. This option will be hosted by Stanford Law School, so there will be no cost to attendees. To start the process:
Please email rapidreturn@cityhealth.com anytime between now and the conference to obtain a six (6) -digit registration code. In your email simply mention Directors’ College in your subject line and request a six (6) -digit registration code. It typically takes about 5-10 minutes to receive the code.
Beginning 24 hours before the start of the conference, you can log in here and “activate kit”. Please have a self-provided rapid antigen test ready. If you are staying at the Stanford Park Hotel or Westin, you can grab one from the front desk upon check-in. After logging in, an observer will watch you take the test and verify the results through the camera on your computer. Please allow about 30 minutes for this entire process. We suggest doing this in a quiet and private space. Results will be emailed/texted to you shortly thereafter. The proof of a negative test should clearly indicate:
Please bring these results to Stanford Law School, where a staff member will confirm these results along with your vaccination card and match it to your ID card. The staff member will then give you a wristband that signifies you have fulfilled Stanford’s COVID-19 requirements.
Option #2: Participants can provide a negative COVID-19 test from a verifiable pharmacy source (Walgreens, CVS, Rite-Aid) or healthcare provider has taken within 24 hours prior to the start of the program. If a participant chooses to take a COVID-19 test from a verifiable pharmacy source or healthcare provider, the proof of a negative test should clearly indicate:
Acceptable documents include a hard copy of test results or an email or text message displayed on a phone/device from the test provider or laboratory.
Option #3: If you are unable to schedule an appointment for a test within 24 hours of arriving on campus or you do not receive your results in time, we will provide rapid antigen tests on-site. You will still follow the CityHealth process in option #1, and take the test with the observer online, from Stanford Law School.
If you have questions, email programs@law.stanford.edu.
During the event
We will have rapid antigen test kits on hand for symptomatic testing. Participants exhibiting symptoms should be tested to determine if they are COVID-19 positive. All COVID-19 positive participants will need to isolate for at least 5 days and obtain a negative antigen test before returning to the program.
Face Coverings: Based on local COVID-19 metrics being met, the Santa Clara County Public Health Department and Stanford University have updated their masking requirements. Stanford University guidelines now state that “masks are no longer required, but are strongly recommended.”
Domestic/International Travel Regulations:
