Biography
Cynthia Nicoletti is a legal historian at the University of Virginia. Her work focuses on the American Civil War and Reconstruction. Her first book, Secession on Trial: The Treason Prosecution of Jefferson Davis, was published by Cambridge University Press in 2017. She is currently at work on a legal history of land redistribution during and after the Civil War.
