Pacific Juvenile Defender Center 2024 Roundtable

WHEN September 13-14, 2024
WHEREStanford Law School

Please join the Pacific Juvenile Defender Center and Stanford Law School’s Youth and Education Law Project and Criminal Defense Clinic for our annual Roundtable on Friday, September 13 and Saturday, September 14, 2024.  This year, for PJDC’s 25th Anniversary, our theme will be “Transforming the Narrative: Youth Centered Litigation to Eliminate Bias and Advance Racial Justice”.

Our Saturday agenda will focus on centering diverse needs and incorporating race, neurodiversity, and LGBTQ+ advocacy into our juvenile practice. We will cover case examples, practical discovery options and data tools with respect to RJA litigation in juvenile court, advancing access to regional center services, restitution, fines and fees advocacy, and other holistic representation strategies for youth.

On Friday, September 13th, we will host a one-hour Civility MCLE in the late afternoon followed by a 25th Anniversary reception and celebration for all attendees; our day-time agenda on Friday is for social workers and offers a sequel to our Demystifying the Witness Stand training.
