Andrew Bouvier-Brown

Biography

Andrew Bouvier-Brown, Dual Status Attorney at Children’s Law Center of California (CLC), began his career focused on death penalty mitigation work. He transitioned into private practice and focused on adult criminal defense at the trial level, but became increasingly involved in juvenile delinquency matters through pro bono commitments. Andy eventually joined the court-appointed Independent Juvenile Defense Panel in Los Angeles County, where he was awarded for his innovative and zealous advocacy on behalf of indigent, system-involved teens. In 2021 he transitioned into dependency practice at CLC, where he now serves as a Dual Status Attorney, integrating his legal knowledge of both child welfare and juvenile justice in support of youth who are involved in both systems. Andy holds a B.A. from St. Mary’s College of CA and is a cum laude graduate of UC Law San Francisco (formerly UC Hastings.) When he’s not working, you’ll find him playing Lego with his kids, coaching AYSO soccer, or telling patient friends about a cool bird he just saw.
