Room 1: Defending Your Client’s Right to Communicate Integration: Navigating the Lanterman Act and Regional Centers

This training will cover Regional Centers’ obligations to youth in the juvenile court system, including their role in remediation, services and supports based on the youth’s Individualized Program Plan, and juvenile court orders. This training will also explain what Regional Centers can provide youths and families to keep them integrated in a community setting despite common administrative hurdles. This training will provide guidance on what to ask for from courts to ensure access to diversionary, remediation, or general entitlement services and supports for your client.
