Biography
Grecia Reséndez was born and raised in San José, California and currently resides in the East Bay. She earned her B.A. in Political Science, with a focus on International Relations and minored Chicanx Studies from the University of California, Berkeley. She also holds a Masters in Public Affairs from the Goldman School of Public Policy. Her areas of research include, education, the school-to-prison-pipeline, Latinos in higher education, California youth prisons and juvenile justice facilities. She currently works at the Center on Juvenile and Criminal Justice, a non-profit based out of San Francisco whose mission is to reduce society’s reliance on incarceration as a solution to social problems.
