Biography
Jose is a former juvenile lifer incarcerated at the age of seventeen and was freed January 30, 2024, after twenty-six years. While incarcerated he became certified as a certified substance abuse counselor through the OMCP Program at VSP. Jose is also an incredible self-taught artist. Angelica became a passionate advocate in the criminal justice space after hearing stories of those incarcerated. The couple who met while Jose was still inside were just married this summer. The two share a deep love for animals, food, and the arts. The two have a podcast Incarceration Station where they uplift the voices of those inside and outside the walls.
