2026 Plaintiffs’ Law Workshop
Oral and Trial Advocacy Training
The Stanford Plaintiffs’ Law Association is thrilled to put on its second inaugural PLA Workshop, which focuses on bringing practical skills training to law students. The workshop will run from lunch on Friday, April 10 to Saturday, April 11 and will feature sessions on trial advocacy, oral advocacy and job search advice.
In the trial and oral advocacy sessions, students will be able to practice “live” courtroom skills. Alums working as plaintiffs’ attorneys will facilitate the workshops, and will also give demonstrations of opening statements and closing arguments from real trials that they’ve won.
Separately, Shanin Specter, nationally recognized trial attorney and Stanford PLA advisor will give a talk on “How to Find a Job You Really Like,” and PLA will also give advice on the 2L and post-grad job search and navigating how to find information on firms.
