Biography
Teresa is a Deputy State Public Defender and has worked as a training attorney for the OSPD Indigent Defense Improvement Division since October 2022. Prior to coming to OSPD IDID, she was a felony trial attorney with the Los Angeles Alternate Public Defender for over a decade. Her first job out of law school was with the Tulare County Public Defender. Between these two offices, Teresa was counsel of record on more than 50 jury trials and juvenile adjudications. Since joining OSPD IDID, she has facilitated training webinars and live events for hundreds of indigent defenders in California. She has a B.A. from the University of California San Diego and earned her J.D. in 2008 from the University of San Francisco School of Law.
