Gregory Ablavsky

Biography

Gregory Ablavsky is the Marion Rice Kirkwood Professor of Law at Stanford Law School. His scholarship focuses on early American legal history, particularly on issues of sovereignty, territory, and property in the early American West. At Stanford, Ablavsky has recently received the John Bingham Hurlbut Award for Excellence in Teaching in recognition of his commitment to expressing legal doctrine clearly and succinctly.
