This conference will celebrate the publication of Bob Gordon's Taming the Past: Essays on Law in History and History in Law. A collection of essays concerning how lawyers use history written over the course of the last four decades, this book embodies Gordon's preeminent position as a scholar of the legal profession and of American legal history more generally.
