AI and Access to Justice Summit 2025

WHEN November 20-21, 2025
WHEREStanford Law School

We are delighted to announce that the second annual AI+A2J Summit will be held on November 20-21, 2025, at Stanford. This year, the AI and Access to Justice (AI+A2J) Summit will be invite-only.

This annual event, hosted by Stanford Legal Design Lab, gathers people working on how rapidly advancing AI technology can empower more people to know their rights, access the justice system, and resolve legal problems that might otherwise spiral into major housing, financial, family, and health problems.

The 2025  AI+A2J Summit’s theme is Building a Strong R&D Ecosystem. We will focus on how organizations and jurisdictions can work together to advance responsible, sustainable AI that improves legal help. The two days feature a mix of panels, live demos, workshops, and networking, plus a Welcome Reception on the first evening. It’s not a talking conference—it’s a doing conference—designed so participants can see what’s working now, borrow proven approaches, and co-design what comes next.

Our goals are to build a strong cross-sector ecosystem, share practical resources and case studies, and launch concrete projects that move the field forward over the next 12 months—while also aligning on a shared vision for how to make AI improve access to justice. Attendees will leave with clear workflow opportunities, improved vision of their tech stack, connections with colleagues and partners, and actionable plans that improve outreach, efficiency, and outcomes for the people we serve.
