Biography
Laura Safdie is Head of Innovation for Legal at Thomson Reuters where she leads the company’s AI for Justice program. She was formerly cofounder, COO, and General Counsel of Casetext, which developed the CoCounsel AI legal assistant. Laura was previously a litigator at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett, served in the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee, and clerked in the Southern District of New York after graduating from Yale Law School. Laura is on the boards of OneJustice, The Innocence Center, and the LSC Leaders Council. Laura has been named among the leading Women in Legal Technology by the American Bar Association.
