Timothy Ma

Timothy joined Tencent in 2012.  He currently heads up the Tencent legal function in Hong Kong that looks after Tencent’s corporate and international matters.  Timothy is also serving as the Head of Compliance of WeChat Pay in Hong Kong and Malaysia.  Prior to joining Tencent, he worked at numerous US law firms and has vast amount of experience in capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, and international compliance matters.  He received his LL.B. from City University of Hong Kong and a B.A. in Economics from Occidental College, Los Angeles.  He is a qualified lawyer in Hong Kong and the State of New York.
