Matt Burrows

Director – Legal and Business Affairs, Jaunt, Inc.

Matt Burrows is Director, Legal and Business Affairs at Jaunt, Inc., a startup providing end-to-end technology, tools and content to creators and consumers of virtual reality content.  In this role, he is responsible for supporting all areas of the company including, most recently, the formation of a joint venture in China with Shanghai Media Group and China Media Capital.  Prior to Jaunt, in addition to working in private practice, Matt has served as lead counsel for Warner Bros. in connection with the UltraViolet consortium, a cloud-based content distribution platform, and as Senior Counsel for Apple, where he was the lead attorney for the launch of movies on iTunes.

Matt is active in pro-bono matters, including having served as a Cooperating Attorney for the Electronic Frontier Foundation and as a board member of the ACLU of Southern California.  He currently serves as outside counsel to the Human Rights Action Center.

Matt is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley and Loyola Law School, and was a non-residential fellow at the Stanford Center for Internet and Society.
