Christian Dowell serves as Senior Director and Associate General Counsel at Twitter, where he leads the company’s consumer product legal team.  Christian has spent the entirety of his in-house career working for global Internet platforms.  In his last role as Deputy General Counsel at Quora, he led the legal team’s product, privacy, litigation, and regulatory efforts.  Prior to that, he was Associate General Counsel at Facebook, first handling trademark, marketing, and litigation matters for Facebook, Instagram, and Oculus; and then working with the WhatsApp team handling privacy, litigation, and regulatory issues.  He began his in-house career at Yahoo!, where he managed the trademark and domain team, while also handling IP litigation.  Before his in-house career, Christian was in private practice at Keats, McFarland & Wilson (now merged with Kilpatrick Townsend), where his practice focused on litigation and online content disputes, as counsel to motion picture studios and major recording artists.
