Elizabeth Valentina is Vice President, Litigation, at Sony Pictures Entertainment, where she manages worldwide litigation focusing on intellectual property matters.  Prior to SPE, she was an intellectual property partner at Greenberg Traurig LLP.  Ms. Valentina has litigated prominent precedent-setting copyright and trademark cases in the entertainment and digital media space for over 20 years, including while at 21st Century Fox in L.A. and Jenner & Block LLP in New York City. At Fox, she handled global litigation, amicus practice, investigations and criminal referrals for its film and television businesses relating to online content and digital technologies. She advised senior management, government relations executives and digital distribution teams on global copyright/IP matters and also represented Fox’s interests in many Motion Picture Association activities globally.

Ms. Valentina is a frequent speaker on copyright, content protection and technology issues at industry conferences and universities. She is a lecturer in law at USC Gould School of Law teaching Copyright and previously served as trustee of the Los Angeles Copyright Society. She is a graduate of McGill University (Montreal), New York University and Osgoode Hall Law School (Toronto). She is admitted to practice law in New York, California and Ontario, Canada.
