Hanne Melin Olbe

Global Competition Counsel, eBay Inc.

Hanne Melin Olbe is eBay’s Global Competition Counsel, based in Bern, Switzerland. She joined eBay in 2010 where she for four years led eBay’s Public Policy Lab for EMEA focused on updating global trade laws for 21st Century trade flows. She was an opening speaker at the WTO’s 2016 Public Forum and served as Board Member of the private sector initiative “Business for eTrade Development”. She was also selected as a changemaker in the Circular Economy to participate in Ashoka’s leadership program 2018. As Competition Counsel for eBay, Hanne has handled several large acquisitions and multi-jurisdictional merger filings.

Before joining eBay, Hanne was a competition law associate at Sidley Austin in Brussels. She has lectured on competition law at Bruges University (Belgium) and Lund University (Sweden).

Hanne has an LLM from Lund University (Sweden) and a Master in International Business Law from King’s College London (UK).
