Reggie leads the Qualia Legal team – a startup digital transformation SaaS company – driving transparency, digital efficiency and reducing costs in the real estate industry. In this role, he is building best-in-class legal and operations teams with focus on data, privacy, security and Saas compliance.
Previously, Reggie served as General Counsel for DocuSign’s award-winning Legal, Security and Risk Compliance teams, driving global adoption of digital signatures. At Docusign, he hosted “The Digital General Counsel” a forum to discuss the digital forces – A.I., Blockchain, Legal Operations, eDiscovery, eBilling – impacting in-house legal practice. Reggie took DocuSign public with one of the most successful SaaS IPOs in recent history.
In 2016, Reggie was named “Most Innovative General Counsel” by the Financial Times and was named “In-House General Counsel” of the year by The Recorder. In 2013, the Silicon Valley Business Journal honored Reggie as “General Counsel of the Year” and has appeared on numerous “Top General Counsel” and “Attorney of the Year” award lists.
Reggie’s prized accomplishment is that 16 members of his legal teams have gone on to be General Counsel at various companies in the City and Valley, and his teams have been named “Most Innovative Legal Teams” by Inside Counsel Magazine.
Prior to joining Qualia, Reggie also served as EVP, General Counsel at Zynga, and helped navigate hyper-growth from $29 million to $1.9 billion in just under 3 years. He also took Zynga public in what was at the time the third-largest Silicon Valley Tech IPO.
Prior to Zynga, Reggie spent 9 years at Yahoo!, serving as Vice President of Search, as well as Yahoo! AGC Litigation, Security and Risk Management. Prior to Yahoo!, Reggie was a partner at Hancock Rothert & Bunshoft (currently known as Duane Morris).
Reggie continues to benefit from the opportunities to be the executive sponsor of Qualia’s BIPOC ERG as well as the executive sponsor of both Zynga and Docusign’s LGBTQ ERGs.
Reggie received his JD from Tulane School of Law and his AB with Honors in European History and Sociology from Harvard University.
Reggie has enjoyed several career sabbaticals including a year-long break, during which he backpacked around the world with his wife Rebecca and their four sons. The highlights of this family adventure were visiting tiger and elephant sanctuaries in Cambodia, Laos and Thailand.
