Salman Alam is Sr. Director, Assistant General Counsel at Western Digital (NASDAQ:WDC), a leading provider of data storage and infrastructure solutions including the SanDisk and WD brands. He is currently lead counsel for the company’s flash semiconductor storage business unit and responsible for managing and advising on legal matters related to product development, product regulatory, privacy, and marketing issues on a worldwide basis for the company. He has previously served in various legal roles at Western Digital and at California-based startups in the mobile, online advertising, and e-commerce spaces. Prior to going in-house, Salman’s private practice focused on corporate and commercial transactions, advising emerging and established technology companies.
