General Counsel, Chegg Inc.
Woodie Dixon, Jr. joined Chegg as General Counsel in September 2020, overseeing all legal and compliance matters. Prior to joining Chegg, he served as the General Counsel and Senior Vice President of Business Affairs for the Pac-12 Conference, where he oversaw all legal affairs and business administration. Dixon left his mark through negotiating a $3 billion media rights agreement with ESPN/FOX, the creation of Pac-12 Networks and Pac-12 Enterprises, the expansion of the Pac-10 to the Pac-12 (adding the University of Colorado and the University of Utah), and launching international collegiate competitions. Dixon now translates his deep understanding of the student-athlete to putting students first in our work at Chegg.
From 2004-10, he served as General Counsel for the Kansas City Chiefs. Prior to that, he worked for the National Football League, Sidley & Austin LLP and Dorsey & Whitney, handling a myriad of corporate legal matters. Dixon obtained his JD from Harvard Law School, a MS in Sport Management from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, and a BA in History from Amherst College.
Dixon currently serves as a member of the Fritz Pollard Alliance Board, USA Football Board, the Sports Lawyers Association Board, American Bar Association Sports Advisory Committee, and Arizona State University Sports Law and Business Advisory Board.
