Directors' College 101: Board Fundamentals for New Directors
Elena Norman Elena, a member of Young Conaway’s Management Committee and former Vice-Chair of the Corporate Litigation and Counseling Section, is a Chambers and Partners/Band 1 Delaware Court of Chancery litigator. Elena is the Vice-Chair of the Delaware State Bar Association’s Corporation Law Council, the group responsible for recommending and drafting amendments to the Delaware General Corporation Law. A frequent speaker on Delaware corporate law and litigation, Elena is a Fellow of the American College of Governance Counsel and a member of the Board of Advisors of the Institute for Corporate Governance & Finance at NYU School of Law and of the Advisory Board of the Silicon Valley Directors’ Exchange. Elena serves as a member of the Delaware Judicial Nominating Commission and serves on the Delaware Supreme Court Rules Committee.
Having lived and worked in other cultures — as a commercial lawyer in Japan, a human rights lawyer in Russia, and a student in England — Elena brings a wide range of perspectives to her practice.
