Jeff Wong

Jeff is responsible for Innovation at EY. His role is to leverage his experience working in technology in Silicon Valley to challenge everything, from the way EY operates internally to how we deliver services to our clients. Jeff works across the entire organization to help identify, share and scale the best ideas. Additionally, part of the Global Innovation team’s remit is to research and explore new technologies.

Previous experience

Jeff joined EY in 2015 and brings deep experience across strategy, investing and building new ventures globally. Throughout his career, he built new businesses across a variety of concepts, including local commerce, B2B exchanges, services, mobile and big data.

His 20-year career includes roles at the Boston Consulting Group, JAFCO America Ventures and J.P. Morgan Partners. From 2005–2015, Jeff was with eBay and held a number of roles including serving as the founder and senior director of eBay’s Business Incubation Group, which was responsible for building new startups for eBay Marketplaces.

Credentials

Jeff has an AB in Economics, a Master in Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management, and an MBA all from Stanford University.

Additionally, he is a member of The World Economic Forum’s Global Future Council on Innovation and Entrepreneurship. From 2007–2016 he served on the board of Summer Search, which gives low-income students the opportunities and support they need to transform their lives and achieve their own potential.
