Michael Beckerman
VP, Head of US Public Policy, TikTok
Michael Beckerman is the Vice President and Head of Americas Public Policy at TikTok. In this role, Michael oversees the company’s public policy and government affairs strategy for North and South America, working with governments and civil society organizations to foster an understanding of TikTok and the value the platform brings to millions of creators. Previously, Michael was the founding President and CEO of the Internet Association, a Washington, D.C. based trade association, representing global internet companies. Prior to that, he served for 12 years in increasingly responsible staff positions on Capitol Hill, ending as the Deputy Staff Director and Chief Policy Advisor to the Chairman of the US House Committee on Energy and Commerce, which oversees America’s internet policies.
