Scott Zdrazil

Principal Investment Officer, Los Angeles County Employees Retirement Association (LACERA)

Scott Zdrazil is Principal Investment Officer at the Los Angeles County Employees Retirement Association (LACERA), which manages $75 billion in assets to provide retirement benefits to over 170,000 members and beneficiaries. He leads LACERA’s investment stewardship strategies aimed at promoting sustainable financial performance, including corporate governance engagements, financial market policy advocacy, global proxy voting, and ESG integration across the total fund.

Mr. Zdrazil has been named to the 2022 National Association of Corporate Directors’ Directorship100 list of most influential professionals in and out of the boardroom. He currently chairs the board of the Council of Institutional Investors (CII), where he was previously board treasurer and chaired the audit committee. CII is an association of employee benefit funds and asset managers with over $44 trillion in assets focused on strong investor rights, sound corporate governance, and sensible financial market regulations. He is a member of the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board Investor Advisory Group and Society for Corporate Governance and has served on the Private Equity Advisory Committee of the United Nations Principles for Responsible Investment. He was previously First Vice President at Amalgamated Bank of New York and Director of Strategy and Corporate Engagement at the Office of the New York City Comptroller, where he guided corporate governance initiatives in support of the New York City Retirement Systems.
