Artificial Intelligence: Board Use and Governance

Artificial intelligence is rapidly reshaping how companies operate and compete, while introducing new governance, risk, and oversight challenges for boards. This interactive session will focus on how directors can effectively oversee AI strategy and deployment, while also understanding its practical implications through direct experience.

Participants will engage in a hands-on workshop where they will build their own AI agent, gaining a concrete understanding of how these tools work, how quickly they can be deployed, and why they are transforming productivity across functions. The session will combine this practical exercise with a discussion of governance frameworks, strategic considerations, and key risks, equipping directors to both oversee and thoughtfully leverage AI in their organizations and their own work.

* Participants must sign up for this session in advance, as space is limited. The facilitators will also offer a separate private virtual session for those who are unable to attend in person at Directors’ College.
