Room 3: Minimizing the Financial Impact of the Court System on Youth and Families

Justice involved youth and their families will experience financial harm. But we can do something about it. This session includes a review of the financial impact the system has and will have on our youth and families, and includes a review of the laws that have passed or are about to pass to mitigate that harm.  This presentation then covers practice tips and legal strategies to reduce the financial harm, with an emphasis on restitution, fines and fees.
