Dr. Thomas Juffmann

Biography

Thomas Juffmann is an Assoc. Prof. at the Faculty of Physics, Univ. of Vienna. He did his PhD on molecular quantum optics in Vienna (2008-2012) and then joined the Kasevich lab at Stanford University to work on quantum-enhanced imaging (2013-2016). After that, he joined the Ecole Normale Superieure in Paris as an interdisciplinary HFSP fellow working on adaptive optics (2017). In 2018, he received an ERC starting grant and started the Quantum Imaging and Biophysics group at the University of Vienna. Currently, he coordinates a European consortium that aims at realizing label-free super-resolution microscopy.
