Biography
Kerry Guerin (she/her) is the Richmond Staff Attorney at Communities for a Better Environment. CBE works in four environmental justice communities in California and combines community organizing, science and policy research, and legal advocacy to advance its resident members’ vision for environmental justice. Kerry and the Richmond Team combat industrial pollution and the Bay Area’s largest oil refinery, as well as aim to build the new. To those ends, CBE and partners recently won a $550 million settlement from the local oil giant to finance a Just Transition for the city of Richmond and address health impacts, diversify the economy, and secure municipal revenue to support city services. Kerry graduated from SLS, where she was the co-president of OutLaw.
