Wendy spent 13 years in private practice as a litigator and advisor primarily for companies in the Web 2.0 and digital media space. She then went in house, as Product and Privacy Counsel for Hulu. In September of 2016, she moved over to FanDuel. It’s been an exciting ride so far, as ten days after she started working at FanDuel, the fantasy sports site came under legal and regulatory scrutiny by various attorneys general, private citizens, and US Attorneys. As FanDuel’s VP, Legal, Wendy has primary responsibility for a broad array of legal issues, including managing litigation and pre-litigation matters, advising on marketing and advertising initiatives across the company, advising on regulations in the fantasy sports space, negotiating and drafting commercial agreements, implementing and advising on privacy and security practices, managing FanDuel’s IP portfolio; and managing updates of user-facing policies and language. FanDuel is in the process of getting FTC approval to merge with DraftKings, and Wendy is leading the legal integration effort for the merger.
