Barbara Loughran

Director, Armstrong World Industries and Jacobs Engineering Group

Barb Loughran is an experienced director currently serving on the board of Jacobs (NYSE: J), a Fortune 250 global professional services provider, spanning consulting, technical, scientific and project delivery for the government and private sector. Of Jacob’s $14 billion in revenue, approximately $6 billion is ESG-related revenue, delivering end-to-end solutions across the entire Climate Response value chain. Barb serves as the Audit Committee Chair and as a member of the ESG and Risk Committee, and previously served on the Human Resource and Compensation Committee.

Barb is also a director of Armstrong World Industries (NYSE: AWI), a market leader in the design and manufacture of commercial building products. Armstrong has a focus on Healthy Spaces to make a difference in the spaces where we live, work, learn, heal and play. Barb serves as the Audit Committee Chair and as a member of the Finance Committee and Management Development and Compensation Committee.

Barb is a retired PricewaterhouseCoopers partner, having advised Fortune 500 C-Suite executives and Audit Committees across a broad spectrum of issues. She has been at the helm of the global audit relationship as these companies addressed strategic and operational opportunities and challenges. Many of these have been transformational, such as pursuing growth organically and through acquisitions, refocusing through divestitures and restructurings and investing in information technology and the customer experience. In addition, she held several leadership roles, including leading the Industrial Products business unit and business development for the Retail & Consumer business unit, both in the New York Metro region. 

In addition to her board roles, Barb is an angel investor, focused on start-up companies founded and led by women. Her investments are focused primarily around innovation in health and sustainability.
