Harry Surden

Biography

Harry Surden is a Professor of Law at the University of Colorado, and Affiliated Faculty at StanfordUniversity’s CodeX Center, and one of the CodeX center’s original founders. Professor Surdenis one ofthe leading scholars of artificial intelligence and law, and his scholarship in this area is influential. He isthe creator of Computable Contracts, and his articles “Structural Rights in Privacy”, “Machine Learningand Law”, and “Artificial and Law: An Overview” have been widely cited. Professor Surden worked as a professional software engineer at Cisco Systems, and Bloomberg L.P., prior to entering legal academia. He is a graduate of Cornell University and Stanford University, both with honors.
